Social Networking for People in Call Centre & BPO Industry

Okay now.... I started this post to air sentiments of call centers who were one point in their calling and managing have been fooled by dishonest brokers, middlemen, or campaign owners.

Running a center is not a breeze or a walk you take in a sunny day. It takes a lot of risks and responsibilities. These are real people were talking about, not some robots on a machine. These people have families too, problems almost identical to what we all have, and difficulties we all face. These are your risks. One mistake will reflect all of their lives. Some have their own families, children, sick relative...

For those who enjoy scamming people are incredibly unfair. They are indeed inhumane. What will you feel if your bread and butter had been robbed out of money? After they used all of your resources they just dropped you like that?!

Call me naive but seriously now, what the heck are they thinking? That centers are extremely rich that they can waste money on resources to produce sales then be abandoned on the payday.

I speak now as I have experienced this first hand, and it ticks me off. I worked with a certain "Insurance broker" who offer leads. And although he had paid us some, I have seen how cruel this people evade and played hide and seek with my friends on payday. These friends of mine also own centers in Romania, India and Dominican Rep. Really. I was amazed on their guts. How can they even sleep at night? They got the nerve to demand impossible deadlines and quota then when you talk about pay, they trun off their phones, their email is full, they changed their messenger ids. Virtually they disappear. Wow.

Selfish and notorious.

There are still good fishes here though dont get me wrong. But we cant deny that this scammers exist.

What's your story?

There have been a lot of stories from a lot of people. But one question which has been asked to center owners now and again. How can you pay someone without any kind of verification or legal agreements. In case you have a legal agreement in place then why not sue them. We always tend to do online sign-ups which do not have any legal validity. Scamming has been going on for years just like terrorism. So one should be aware and verify all details before taking a campaign, buy leads or etc.

Even if we share our thoughts here do you think scamming will stop. NO IT WILL NOT!!!! America waged war against Terrorism what could they do. Killed few but could they erase it? Scamming in all kinds of business will happen that's a part and parcel of business. f one has taken precaution they can get the money back and if not then it's a loss and forget thinking about it and move forward. Writing stories will not help anyone. There have been many postings earlier about people who have scammed and the centers could not provide any proof of getting scammed. The scammers are still doing business and will keep doing it unless you take necessary precaution.

That same attitude had brought us to this day you know. Awareness was always the first step to precaution.

B2C has no future except in niches like debt collection and survey work.

To get out of B2C hell, choose a market niche, identify a list of potential clients in that niche and call those potential clients once a month until the lead either becomes dead or you get your center onto the RFP bid list. This is how Microsoft does its sales in-house.

Sitting passively and waiting for clients to come in the door invites failure. It invites being the bottom feeder of the industry.

Running U.S. B2C campaigns that you lack permissions for is a recipe for having legitimate clients shun you as a scam outfit. I wouldn’t put an inbound order-taking campaign into a center that was running a B2C campaign illegally. Too risky.

If the call center owner is unwilling or unable to invest properly in sales and marketing, then that is not a call center with a legitimate future.
