Hi Mitichell,

You are right about the marketing capabilities which lacking in Pakistan's Call Center Market. They don't how and where to market there services. And if a experienced person like you can start a consultancy company to give a boost the PK Centers, this can help and get some good earnings out of the market by just giving consultancy.

Rob,

Costs for PK are $350 per month per agent, 20% cheaper than India. The talent pool is much deeper and turnover is lower. Equipment is newer and their telecom connections are good (now that there is a second major cable).

Access to office space with IPLCs is an issue because of high demand. Following a trend we saw with FirstRing (the first foreign owned call centre in India) GTL sold off or closed their Indian centres and set up shop in PK. GTL had opened the first commercial facility in India. I have a good track record with the FirstRing team, not so with GTL.

I don't know how well the FirstRing people are doing in PK now, where they were using WorldBridgeConnect as their brand name when they were covered in an article on business development for call centers. This is their website in South Africa: http://worldbridgeintl.com/. Their PK site is no longer up.

Pakistan's major problem is lack of marketing capabilities or real marketing interest. Lots of confusion there on how to go about obtaining clients.

The regulatory climate is refreshing, with long tax holidays and strong government support for commercial facilities (including free sat backup lines).

Does anyone have any figures comparing salaries and other costs in Pakistan as opposed to India? Also, I can't find any articles promoting Pakistan. Why would a company choose Pakistan?
