I'm working with a client who wants multiple centres in Manila that do pay-per-performance outbound. Are there any good centres there that do this kind of work. It's a good project.

Hi Rob,

In response to your query on price quotes from Philippine vendors, the £3 per hour is possible, although the quality that these centers churn out is another story altogether. Philippine centers usually make a nice profit starting at US$11 per hour per seat. These vendors will definitely guarantee the quality of their work.

Usually a vendor or service provider that quotes at this low price is desperate and will do anything to capture business. In order to make it worthwhile for them, they will shortchange everything: training, technology, salaries of their employees.

Does anyone know what the current market rate for outsourced call centre services is in Manila? I know there's a big variance between the international players and the local ones but over the past few months, I'm hearing British companies tell me they are receiving lower and lower prices from Filipino vendors. One told me they'd been quoted £3 per hour. Anyone have any useful insights?

I've been with Western Wats, Cebu for quite some while now but this is the only call center who offers part-time sched to its employees. But what's difficult about our job is that we do surveys outbound. We have to deal with a lot of refusals mostly nasty ones. Survey research is a vital part of society; because it allows people to express their views on products and services they use everyday as well as social and political issues. I've never had a first hand experience how rude most Americans are. Now, my American dream is finally over. I'm staying here in the Philippines for as much time as possible.
